How we collect information about you. 
We collect information in three different ways:
We collect the information provided to us by our users.
We collect the information from emails and other contacts sent to us by our customers and users of our website and/or mobile applications.

Personal information we collect about users. 
When you enter topiaapp.com to use our service in order to register and approve your profile as a passive or active user of the application, you are asked to enter your full name, official identification number of the country of your residential, photo of the aforementioned document, email address, full postal address (including municipality) and telephone number. You will also need to choose and enter a username and password. Every time you use our service, we collect information about the residentials, condominiums, office buildings, etc. that you visit and/or the visitors you authorize.

Location information. 
In the case of Topia Security users, we constantly collect and use information on the precise location of your device, either with the application running or when it is operating in the background, in order to determine surveillance routes and authorize aid actions where necessary.
We also use your location information for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes.

Children's Privacy
The user registration pages for activating an account and for your comments on this website are designed and directed to people 18 years of age or older. We do not accept or keep registration of children we know are under 18 years of age. We do not request or collect personal information that reliably corresponds to children under the age of 18. If we discover that, we have received personal information from an individual that indicates is under the age of 18, or whom we have enough reason to believe is, we will delete such information from our system. We collect additional information about how you use our service and the website.
If you communicate with us by letter, phone or email using the contact information available on the "Customer Feedback" page, we will collect the sender information and other information that you voluntarily provide us.

How we store the information we collect.
The information that you provide us and that we collect electronically is stored in our databases, which are owned by us. The servers that host the databases are leased, as well as their operation and maintenance. The access to these servers is controlled by firewalls and gatekeepers..

How we use the information we collect. 
The personal information stored in our database is used in various ways. The next time you use our system to authorize a visitor or to be authorized by someone to enter a residential park, condominium, office building, etc. and enter your username and password, the information will be retrieved from our database to process your request  in a faster and easier way.

We use personal information that we collect about you to send you special notices, news about our products and services, including via email and/or digital marketing platforms. When you use your Topia account we also register your visiting preferences and choices, we register and analyze that information. We do this so that we can email you special notices and news about services and features that are suitable to your preferences, including via email and/or digital marketing platforms.

We also use the personal information in our database that we have collected over the phone or by other non-electronic means. We may provide your personal information to the administrators of residential parks, condominiums, etc. so that they can keep a record of visitors, according to their interest. We also send additional information about how our online service is used (without identifying any particular user) so that we can improve our service in a way that suits our users' preferences.

At the time of paying your service online and/or charges from the residential park and condominiums, we will send you a voucher verifying the charge to your credit or debit card.

In case of canceling the order for different reasons (personal, or service) the order and the amount of the order charged to the credit or debit card will be canceled, through customer service to the email [email protected] on the same day that transaction is made, so that the amount is released later, depending on the issuing bank.

Your contacts and others.
To access the services for creating groups or assigning access permits to your residence, office or gym, Topia must access your contact book.

Topia saves the information of your contacts temporarily so that you can easily select those contacts that you want to grant entry permissions or send invitations to your events.

You can control how your information is used.
You can also limit our communications. If you are registered on topiaapp.com and do not want to receive emails from us about offers, Contests and other promotions in the future, please let us know. You can change your preferences or opt out of receiving our emails at any time. Go to My Account Information on the registration page. Once there you can update your email address, phone numbers, password, address and you can uncheck the "Send me information of interest" box. Within 5 business days you will stop receiving our emails and from there on we will not provide other companies with the means to contact you by email regarding their Contests or other offers. All registered users of our service of online services will occasionally receive non-promotional emails from topiaapp.com in order to collect and disclose data to provide better services to our customers.Except when providing additional information is necessary to complete a transaction initiated by a registered user, registered users do not have obligation to respond or answer questions from such non-promotional email. The non-promotional email may include, but is not limited to, surveys, maintenance notices, system updates, and confirmation or other notices related to the completion of a transaction initiated by a registered user. Our policies may change.

This is our current privacy and security policy but we reserve the right to modify our website and this policy at any time. It is advisable that you review our privacy policy regularly. If our policies regarding the collection, storage and use of information change, information collected in accordance with the previous policies will continue to be ruled by those policies, unless you give us your consent to use the information in new ways. You can have access to your information.

If you request it, we will give you access to the information related to your account and to the contact information that we store about you. In your request, please indicate your current specific contact information so that we can accurately verify our registers. 

How is my information protected? 
Your information is protected by a password. In order to maintain this protection, we recommend you to not show your password to anyone. 

We do not give  your password to anyone. We recommend that you close your browser at the end of the session if you share the computer with other people. Logging out protects your information if you share your computer with someone else or if you use a computer in a public place, like a library.
